In the shadowed veils of Mansfield, Ohio, on December 14, 1988, a bleak and frigid (27°F) day where the air hung heavy, Aaron Christopher McFadden was summoned into this mortal coil. A wanderer of the abyss, he reveled in the infernal symphonies of all music. His spirit, forged in the fires of rebellion, embraced the grotesque and the macabre, finding solace in the screams of distorted guitars and the thunder of unholy drums.
Aaron's journey through the realms of shadow led him to befriend those who saught logic and reasoning, forge bonds in underground lairs, where he shared tales of apocalyptic visions and in some cases eternal damnation. He was a harbinger of the void, collecting artifacts, forbidden lore, and relics. His laughter echoed like thunder in stormy nights, a testament to his unyielding passion for the disturbing beauty of the dark arts.
On October 18, 2024, in the abyssal depths of his hometown, Aaron transcended the frail chains of flesh, ascending to the eternal black pantheon. He leaves behind a legacy of infernal inspiration, urging the living to embrace the nightmare within. Though his corporeal form has dissolved into the ether, his essence lingers in every riff of torment and every whisper of the wind through crypts, and most definitely at his old place of employment too.
Survived by kindred spirits in the shadows, Aaron's memorial service was held in Centralia, Pennsylvania on October 12th, 2025, with offerings of black candles, chants to the void, and drone flying. In lieu of flowers, donate to the causes of an underground music preservation of your choice or simply play "Mourning Palace" at maximum volume to honor his unholy memory.
